Reclaiming Identity and Building Life After Loss

Hi, I’m Julie…I didn’t plan this part of my story.
In 2021, I lost my husband. What followed was a chapter I never saw coming, one filled with grief, confusion, and moments that brought me to my knees. The greatest shock to my system. I was left not knowing who I was, let alone how to move forward or find my new identity after loss.

Finding Faith in the Ruins

Somewhere in the quiet, God carried me.  He didn’t erase the pain but He sat with me in it.  Through His grace, I began rebuilding my life, not all at once but brick by brick. And, as you’ll see, I’m still rebuilding and I want to share the triumphs and failures with you.
Lost.Loved.Found was born from that place, a space for anyone walking through hard seasons and asking honest questions. If you are searching for grief support, spiritual encouragement, or simply a way to find light in the dark, you have found a home here.  It’s not about having all the answers; it’s about finding quiet strength in the mess and faith in the waiting.

The Discipline of the Mind

While my faith is my foundation, I realized that I also needed tools to manage the daily “mess” of a changing life. I began studying Stoicism, specifically the principles of Marcus Aurelius. It taught me how to separate what I can control from what I cannot, giving me the emotional control needed to communicate better and face challenges with a quiet, steady heart.

The Freedom of Digital Work

Part of my “brick by brick” rebuilding has been professional. I’ve spent years in manual work and home repairs, but I discovered a new kind of satisfaction in digital creation. By learning things like website design, SEO, and user-generated content, I’m building a path toward financial freedom that allows me to be present for my family. Whether it’s blogging here at Lost.Loved.Found. or navigating new business ventures, I’m proof that it’s never too late to learn a new skill and I look forward to sharing these opportunities with you!

Whether you’ve lost a person, a purpose, or just feel like you’ve lost yourself , this is a place where I hope you’ll feel seen.
